NEWS:
Thanks to everyone for the overwhelming response to last weeks release of the ROBERT TURMAN - CHAPTER ELEVEN boxset. The 30 copies we had sold out within just a few hours!

Due to the great response to this release, we have decided to make another edition (identical to the one released last week) and offer it for pre-order to make sure everyone who wants a copy can get one.

Pre-orders will be available until the end of January and finished copies will ship mid-Februrary. If you’d like to order other items at the same time as this pre-order, please do them as separate payments and include proper shipping for each order.

I will be in Italy for next week. It would be best to order sooner than later so I know how many boxes / cassettes to order before I leave for Italy. When I return I will start fabricating the boxes, and will start mailing them out asap.

Twilight Memories are a freeform unit from parts unknown. Hanson is proud to release this cassette after hearing their 6-something self released LP’s of all over the map strangeness. The A-side is a heavy discharge of demon energy recorded outside under influence of the sun. Curious birds flutter through dark drones of horn? / voice? / didgeridoo?!?! The B-side is an ultra hiss smothered dive into a haze of darkness utilizing minimal electronics and reverberations of a tunnel. Two intense sides of humans releasing inhuman vibrations.

C-60 of VERY minimal synth tests made after intense holiday readings of the books of COMMANDER X. The new studio has just been set up and the recordings on this tape were from a session I did to get reacquainted with my synthesizers. Unlike every other SS release, there is no tape delay FX used on these recordings..some LIGHT reverb on the B-side from an old ‘echo-verb’ unit I recently acquired, but other than that it’s raw synth.

The A side is a triple synth sample and hold exercise using Dotcom Modular, Yamaha CS-5, and Moog Rogue. The B-side is an ULTRA minimal pulse ambience piece for Moog Rogue and Lafayette Echo-Verb. This side was very influenced by a tape called CHAMBER MUSIC originally released in 1984 by STRENGTH THROUGH JOY. I got the tape quite a few years ago and remember being struck by how minimal it was. I wasn’t too fond of it at the time, but I think about it quite a lot and I think it’s influenced a lot of my output, especially my more recent recordings. I think of it as ambient music, not ‘ambient’ as in the genre, but as sounds to surround yourself with while doing something else. Throw this one on and read some COMMANDER X!
